Joe came to the lab by way of Singapore and Davidson College. Although he was a history major, Joe’s background in programming saw him assigned to the clinical psychology lab at Davidson, where he worked on arousal and decision-making research. From there, Joe went on to help run a startup, and then on to work for Dan where he worked for 4 years. Right now, Joe is getting his PhD in Consumer Behavior at the University of Colorado, where he studies financial decision-making, identity, and other topics that float across his field of vision. Joe is married to Susan Harvey, a pediatric nurse practitioner whose moral behavior licenses Joe to do whatever the heck he wants.
