Ori, on this picture the one less handsome, grew up in Haifa, Israel. In 2007 he began showing up regularly to the faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (which happens also to be located in Haifa). Ten years later, he left that faculty with two bachelor degrees, in Industrial Engineering and in Economics, and with a Ph.D. in behavioral sciences. His research focuses on the combination of these fields. Specifically, he studies the role of economic incentives in human decision making and learning, and the methods by which social science and data science practices can inform one another.
Ori enjoys traveling and getting to know new places. He has so far visited 34 countries, and believes this number to be too low. He also likes to watch football (the kind you play with your feet), and considers himself an avid Arsenal F.C. fan. Most of all, Ori loves spending time with his wife, dog, and son, the completely-objectively-and-hands-down cutest boy ever.
